In-real-life trade fairs may be mothballed for a while, but that doesn’t mean that hooking-up with friends, colleagues and customers old and new is out the window. 7
On 28th October the digital doors will be opening on the soft launch of Jewel Ads inaugural Virtual Trade Show – ahead of the official launch in February 2021. Here’s a taster of products and services visitors can expect to discover along the aisles.
OLIVIER JEWELLERY
Designer Olivier Klompkes was motivated to exhibit for two strong reasons. Yes, the cancellation of physical trade fairs due to Covid put paid to his excitement over plans to launch his collection in the UK… a stand had been booked, but he had other ambitions. “The jewellery trade is always looking for something original and new and I firmly believe that this is what I have to offer,” he explains.
Olivier Jewellery presents a collection of hand-blown glass jewellery using the old traditional Venetian techniques. Inspired by the beauty and allure of nature through the medium of glass, the designs’ lines are simple, elegant and timeless. All the pieces are one-of-a-kind, created with high quality materials – borosilicate glass, fine silver and gold, each jewel accompanied by a wide sterling silver choker.
“Fair enough… glass jewellery has been around for centuries,” adds Klompkes, “but this beautiful trade – the art of glass blowing – has been very much forgotten and I’m determined to bring it back to the forefront by mixing the old Venetian techniques with today’s exciting new ones.” I’m hoping to connect with jewellery suppliers that have great flair and vision in order to create long lasting business relationships. I’m so grateful that TJA Connect came to the rescue with this excellent idea.”
