Following on from the support and guidance provided during last week’s Mental Health Awareness Week, Simon Wilson, MD of StoneHawk announces the release of free and confidential online meetings as part of their ongoing support.
Wilson says ‘Supporting staff for the effects of trauma experienced as the result of crime has always been an integral part of our business. During lockdown it became apparent at an early stage that our resources could be put to good use to support staff and businesses that work in the jewellery, watch, high-end retail sectors; the feedback has been superb. The meetings will be a thirty-minute confidential conversation providing the opportunity for any questions relating to security, mental health and wellbeing to be discussed. Daniel Darwin, Mental Health Consultant at StoneHawk is becoming a familiar face as he continues to offer support through webinars, articles and during the online meetings held by the buying groups and associations. As business owners and staff return to work, we are aware that their focus on security and their anxieties will become increasingly more pertinent. Education for all staff around mental health awareness is a key strategy to develop a good culture in the work place and that will help identify suitable staff to become Mental Health First Aiders. This forms part of a longer-term approach strategy to support employees in the workplace, and to sign post them to relevant support services to promote a positive culture towards Mental Health.’
Apart from the well-known #StopSmashandGrabs armed robbery prevention training, StoneHawk has the resources to deliver a wide range of training courses on security and mental health, and will be releasing more detail of these very soon.
StoneHawk was founded in 2017 to provide bespoke armed robbery prevention training and full security reviews to brands in the United Kingdom and Ireland. StoneHawk has rapidly grown to be respected for its effective training and continues to strengthen retail and manufacturing businesses against crime.
